Mekhi Phifer, best known for starring on ER, has filed for bankruptcy, TMZ reports.
The actor apparently has debts totalling approximately $1.3million and is claiming around $67,000 in assets.
In the 39-year-old’s legal documents, which were obtained by TMZ, he allegedly states he has $11,600 in monthly expenses while earning $7,500.

Along with $1.2million in back taxes, Mekhi is said to owe $4,500 in child support and $50,000 in legal bills.
His list of assets is small but includes, rather inexplicably, a leather bed, as well as a Segway that is 12 years old and valued at $1500.
In addition, Mekhi claims he owns one shotgun and two 9mm pistols, TMZ reveals.
In his heyday: The actor is best known for portraying Dr. Gregory Pratt in ER from 2002 until 2008
MailOnline has contacted a representative for Mr Phifer for comment.
Mekhi is currently married to Reshelet Barnes and he has two sons, 15-year-old Omikaye and Mekhi Jr., six, from a past marriage to actress Malinda Williams and relationship with Oni Souratha respectively.
While most know him as Dr. Gregory Pratt in ER, which he starred in from 2002 until 2008, he has more recently appeared in House Of Lies and Divergent.

He appeared on the Today show in March to promote Divergent, in which he plays Max, and said he hadn’t heard of the books before reading the script, but that his eldest son had.
‘[He] was really excited,’ Mekhi revealed. ‘It was the first thing he's ever been excited about in my career ever! Now I'm cool, finally.’
Mekhi will be reprising his role as the leader of the Dauntless faction in the second film adaptation, Insurgent, which is due to be released next year.
