Power YouTube couple, Tanya Burr and Jim Chapman, shocked the world when they announced their split in March after three and half years of marriage.
The childhood sweethearts took to their Instagram Stories to share their separate statements, expressing their ongoing love and respect for one another despite the separation.
"Just wanted to let you all know that a few weeks ago Jim and I made the painful decision to no longer be together," Tanya wrote. "We have a huge amount of love and respect for each other and will continue to remain friends forever. Thank you in advance for respecting our privacy at this difficult time."
Meanwhile Jim, who proposed to Tanya in 2012, wrote: "After twelve incredible years, Tan and I have decided to go our separate ways. We're still absolutely the best of friends and have nothing but love and respect for each other. We will continue to support one another in all of our ventures and are both looking forward to what the future holds."
The pair, who have five million Instagram followers between them, have vowed to remain friends despite the break-up, and according to The Sun, simply "grew apart".
In the months running up to the news, the couple stopped sharing photos of each other. Jim last mentioned his wife in a post on January 31, where the couple were pictured together at a luxury hotel in Singapore, while Tanya last referenced her husband back in November when she posted a red carpet snap that the couple attended together.
The couple have remained pretty silent since the split, although Jim has gone public with his new girlfriend Sarah Tarleton. Tanya has finally broken her silence on the split, telling The Telegraph about her split experience. She said: "I’ve been there, where I’ve seen someone saying, 'Ooh, have you heard so-and-so and so-and-so have split?' and then thought, 'Let me look that up,'
"It’s what people do. I’m not angry with anyone. People are just being people. It’s hard and horrible. I’ll never google myself again.
"All that matters is what Jim and I think. It’s boring – he’s still my best friend. We’ve been best friends for 12 years, [but] people will want some drama from it. We’re always going to be in each other’s lives, hopefully."
Tanya also revealed that they've sold their Fulham home and now share custody of their pet dachshund, Martha.
The pair, who met when they attended the same sixth form in Norwich and had been in a relationship for 12 years. They tied the knot in a lavish ceremony in 2015 at celebrity favourite Babington House in Somerset.
At the time, Jim explained that the wedding celebrations were kept as private as possible due to the nature of the couple's incredibly public everyday lives.
"I just think we wanted our wedding to be very intimate, very private.
"We share so much of our lives, and we wanted a day where we could just turn everything off.
"I didn’t even have my phone on me. It was actually really nice, just to have a day with me and my wife and our really close friends and family.”
Tanya has been pursuing an acting career in recent months, dividing her time between LA and London, while Jim is busy writing his first screenplay.
